LHC celebrates 50 years of excellence at anniversary awards ceremony

Public sector procurement specialist, LHC, hosted its anniversary event and awards ceremony on Thursday 13th October at The Brewery, London. The event bought together over 320 public sector clients, framework suppliers and partners to celebrate 50 years of excellence.

The lunchtime event, which was co-hosted by Sally Gunnell OBE, celebrated the success of LHC’s stakeholders and included an exclusive pre-event seminar programme for LHC clients, which focused on key topical issues, including Brexit, energy efficiency and off-site construction of housing in the public sector. The seminar sessions were followed by the LHC awards which were delivered to both clients and suppliers who have worked to deliver excellence.

LHC also presented a ‘Red Hat Award’ to Kier Construction, to give special recognition for their lasting contribution to LHC in delivering excellence to its clients and members.

LHC Director, John Skivington commented: “Over the last 50 years LHC has built a reputation for delivering excellent quality construction and refurbishment frameworks to the public sector organisations it serves. We were delighted to celebrate this with our clients and suppliers at LHC50. Congratulations go to all of our award winners and those who submitted entries. Special thanks go to Kier Construction for their lasting contribution to LHC.”

LHC frameworks were used to purchase over £256,000,000 of products and services during the year ending 31st March 2016, a twenty two percent increase from £210,000,000 in 2014/15.
