New app supports good landlords and evicts rogue ones!

Everything exempt social landlords need to provide housing excellence has been brought under one roof in a pioneering new app.

Exempt Social Housing Excellence (ESHE) is a one-stop service hub providing landlords with practical tools to keep on top of property and tenant management, administration and service delivery.

Due to the existing costly and time-consuming paperwork system, adoption of housing charters within the private sector has been low. ESHE incentivises exempt social housing landlords to register for and work towards achieving national standards compliance because it replaces and digitally streamlines everything they need.

A real-time database provides comprehensive remote management of all necessary support areas, whether this is evidencing legal obligations, complying with service quality standards, actioning repair requests from tenants or staff recruitment and development.

ESHE’s efficient paperless task management system is a concept which can be applied across other sectors and is already attracting interest from councils and NHS staff.

ESHE founder Camarlo Richards

ESHE founder Camarlo Richards said: “There is a core body of ‘good landlords’ in the exempt supported housing arena who care deeply about their tenants and the quality of housing they provide.

“However, ESHE was born of the unfortunate acknowledgment that there are unscrupulous landlords out there, defrauding the system of millions each year, often disregarding their safeguarding responsibilities, some even actively targeting vulnerable people.

“ESHE is the quality assured gold standard. Easy and efficient for good landlords to use. It stops rogue landlords operating and in doing so, raises living standards, reduces support needs and costs while easing the pressure on our straining housing system.”

Landlords pay for each room they register with ESHE, either monthly or yearly, and can enjoy a free trial.

As well as supporting those providing accommodation, ESHE’s complimentary tenant application, RoomApp, takes care of those seeking it. Homeless and vulnerably housed people are quickly and easily able to identify and secure suitable properties and manage their end-to-end tenancy.
