One thing we never take lightly in asbestos work:
Great supervision.
And that is exactly why we are so pleased to see our Supervisor, Kian Tynan, win The Asbestos Industry Trainee/Apprentice of the Year Award at The British Asbestos Awards recently held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London St Paul’s.

This recognition is a big deal for us.
Because site leadership affects everything.
• Standards.
• Safety.
• Communication.
• Confidence on the job.
And Kian has shown all of that.
At 21, he has already completed his RSPH Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Supervising Licensed Asbestos Removal (Construction).
That takes real commitment - and a lot of hard work.
It also says a lot about the kind of future he is building in our industry.
He was nominated by our site partners DSM Demolition Ltd for his work across a number of significant asbestos projects, many of which have formed part of complex inner-city regeneration schemes.
One of the schemes Kian is supervising is working alongside DSM Demolition Limited at City Hospital in Birmingham where the site is being completely demolished to make way for new housing.
We are removing asbestos from the 135 year old building and making safe prior to demolition where Kian is the supervisor on site.
The hospital was originally founded as the Birmingham Union Workhouse Infirmary and had a famous 900ft spine corridor and a one mile main corridor from one end of the hospital to the other!

So for us, this award is a proud moment.
Not just because Kian has been recognised, but because it highlights the value of people who turn up, lead properly, and take responsibility on site every day.
It’s a brilliant achievement for Kian and a very proud moment for our team and a testament to his hard work, dedication and commitment to developing his career within the asbestos industry.
His progress and achievements to date have been outstanding, and we’re delighted to see his efforts recognised at such a prestigious industry event.
Everyone at the team is extremely proud of Kian and we look forward to seeing what he achieves next.
