GOplastic at the heart of Goole town centre improvement
Goole’s maritime history and industrial past is written into its skyline. Alongside tall cranes and derricks, you will find distinctive water towers and proud Victorian buildings. Walk into the centre and you’ll also discover the new Goole, a bustling vehicle-free shopping centre with its own market hall and an abundance of quiet gardens and parks.
GOplastic Ltd were delighted to be contacted by the architectural assistant at East Riding Council with a view to getting involved with town centre improvement.

Goole Town Centre has been furnished with the very latest modern and contemporary designs available with a contrasting colour theme to great effect. Where original recycled products tended to be brown or black colours, GOplastic has successfully accomplished its vision to bring unique designs with more colour into the materials which are now in demand in schools, academies, hospitals and a specifiers choice.
The Matrix 08 Picnic table is 2m long and seats 6 - 8 comfortably. The Matrix 05 bench can be teamed with the London table as shown, or serve as a single bench seat with back. Planters from the Agora range complemented the seating range.
East Riding Council verdict?
“These benches and planters are a fantastic addition to Goole! They have created welcoming spaces for people to spend time in the town centre, especially during Covid19 recovery. They are really durable and all of us are impressed with the quality, also the mix-and-match colour styles have really allowed us to create unique furniture that enhances Goole’s conservation area.”
GOplastic have provided good-looking solutions for the recent requirements for traffic calming barriers using planters and seating in city centres. These are often considered a marked improvement on the concrete barriers installed in some towns and cities.
