The Firefly™ Access Panel FR120 has been stringently tested against EN 1363-1 2020 and is third party certified by IFC being shown to achieve an impressive two hours fire resistance from either side of a fire compartment.  Intended to be fitted vertically, the heavy-duty construction of the Zintec steel door and frame ensures the assembly offers a tight and flush fit when closed, and rugged performance in use.

Multiple locking points offer enhanced fire performance, while the door closes mechanically with a universal key for controlled areas and thanks to the robust steel fixed pivot hinge and overall design, the access panel can be used repeatedly without the fear of performance failure or damage to the integrity of the surrounding fire barriers.

TBA Firefly’s Technical Manager, Dave Allen comments: “The access panel is designed primarily for roof spaces and other voids, to provide reliable and safe access for maintenance personnel and the trades so they can gain entry to areas compartmentalised using Firefly™ fire barriers.  Along with our widely specified barrier systems such as Apollo and Zeus, the access panel is going to find applications in schools and hospitals as sell as commercial and residential buildings.”

Finished in RAL 9010  gloss White, the 600 x 600mm Firefly™ Access Panel assembly is supplied as a kit, including the door panel, frame, lock, hinge and fire barrier pillow fitted to the door’s rear.  A larger, 1200 x 600mm panel is also available in the range and offers 60 minutes fire resistance.
