Jo Fallon joins Weaver Vale Housing Trust
Weaver Vale Housing Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Fallon as Assistant Director of Development, adding to its key Directorate of Property, as the Trust embarks upon its biggest house building programme to date.
Jo has joined Weaver Vale Housing Trust from Affordable Homes Consultancy, where Jo had worked as a Director for 7 years. Jo was responsible for delivering consultancy services to a range of Registered Providers and Local Authorities. Most recently, Jo was acting as Interim Assistant Director of Assets and Growth at Muir Group Housing Association in Chester.
Jo, an experienced project manager, will lead the development function at the Trust, including growing the Trusts vision (Transforming Neighbourhoods, Homes and Services to Improve the Quality of Life for our Customers) as well as implementing delivery of the Trust’s development program in collaboration with internal and external partners including our regulator, lenders and customers.
Jo said: "It’s a great time to join as the Trust embarks on it’s biggest and most ambitious homes building plan to date, I am already enjoying working with the team and being part of the Trust at such a pivotal and exciting time."
Jo began her career in affordable housing as a Graduate Development Officer for Plus Dane Housing Group. Following the completion of the trainee programme, Jo spent time working as Assistant Development Manager at Urban Splash, working closely with partners New East Manchester and English Partnerships to deliver the large-scale ‘Millennium Community’ project New Islington, in Ancoats, East Manchester.
Previous experience also includes Savills and Plus Dane, where Jo was responsible for building development pipeline programmes, securing grant funding for projects and providing project procurement and project management services from inception to completion.
Gareth Rigby, Director of Property said: "We are delighted by Jo’s appointment to further strengthen our team with such a fantastic experience. In the last 18 months we have built and provided homes for customers and the speed of our delivery, combined with the type of homes that are needed, bring a much-needed variety of housing to the area."
Recent developments have included shared ownership homes in Barnton, Alsager and Wincham, with affordable rent homes in Rudheath, Chelford and Alsager.
