New Dryzone Mould Remover Gel clings to awkward surfaces to tackle stubborn mould without scrubbing, following more than two years of development and 200+ formulations
British building health specialist Safeguard Europe has launched a new mould-removing gel designed to make treating mould in awkward and hard-to-clean areas easier.
Unlike conventional sprays, Dryzone Mould Remover Gel has a thick consistency that allows it to cling to vertical surfaces and be applied precisely to problem areas such as silicone seals, grout and joints. It requires no scrubbing and can be left to work for at least six hours or overnight before being wiped away.
The low-odour gel can be used to remove mould from areas including sinks, sealants, grout, washing machines, refrigerators and other hard-to-clean surfaces.

Developed and manufactured entirely in-house at Safeguard Europe's headquarters in Horsham, West Sussex, the new product is the result of more than two years of research and development.
Safeguard's R&D team explored more than 200 formulations in developing the gel, with testing covering mould-removal performance, surface cling, viscosity, pH and physical stability.
Dr Jonathan Kirby, Head of Research & Development at Safeguard Europe, said: “Anyone who has tried to remove mould from a washing-machine seal or around bathroom silicone will know how awkward it can be. We wanted to develop something that could be applied exactly where it was needed and stay there while it worked, rather than simply running down the surface.
“It's taken us more than two years and over 200 formulations to get the product exactly where we wanted it, so we're incredibly excited to finally see it on sale. We're also really proud that it's been developed, tested and manufactured by our team here in Horsham.”
The launch further expands Safeguard's Dryzone range and continues the family-owned company's commitment to developing and manufacturing specialist building health products in Britain.
Established in 1983, Safeguard operates its own research, development and testing facility at its Horsham headquarters, where products are developed to address real-world building and property maintenance challenges. Its portfolio includes Dryzone, Stormdry, Drybase, Roxil, SoluGuard and NOPE.
Dryzone Mould Remover Gel is available as a two-tube pack or as a single tube supplied with a microfibre cloth.
