CHIC, a leading asset management and procurement consortium, is proud to announce the launch of its comprehensive Fire & Building Safety Framework. Designed to meet the evolving needs of its members, this framework provides a robust, compliant route to market for fire safety installations, servicing, maintenance and consultancy services.
Developed in close collaboration with members, consultants and contractors, this new framework aims to enhance fire safety compliance across diverse building types whilst encouraging innovation and efficiency. With a strong focus on flexibility, sustainability and collaborative outcomes, the framework aligns with key legislative requirements, including the Building Safety Act 2022.
A Three Lot Approach
The Fire & Safety Framework is structured into three distinct lots, each addressing critical areas of fire safety with specific workstream categories:
Lot 1: Fire Safety Installation and Replacement
Lot 1 offers members access to a broad range of suppliers for both active and passive fire protection systems, as well as fire suppression installations. The scope includes fire door sets, compartmentation, cladding, signage and advanced electrical installations such as alarms and emergency lighting. Members can choose between specialists or multi-disciplinary providers to suit their project needs.
Lot 2: Fire Servicing and Maintenance
Lot 2 ensures the ongoing functionality and compliance of fire safety systems. It includes responsive maintenance of fire doors, suppression systems and electrical fire safety installations. Additional services include the maintenance of fire extinguishers, smoke curtains and access control systems.
Lot 3: Fire Consultancy and Management
Lot 3 focuses on fire safety strategy and compliance. Services include fire risk assessments, building safety case development and cladding and façade engineering consultancy. Members can also access solutions for fire door inspections and waking watch services to ensure the highest safety standards are upheld.
Designed to Support Strategic Asset Management for Registered Providers
Fire safety is a critical component of a comprehensive strategic asset management approach for Registered Providers. Ensuring robust fire safety measures not only protects residents but also underpins the long-term sustainability and compliance of building assets.
This framework provides an integrated solution, supporting members in meeting their regulatory obligations, enhancing building safety and supporting proactive risk management.
