Safety and Compliance event announced by ASCP
This May sees the return of ASCP’s annual conference, exhibition and Awards ceremony - the unmissable event dedicated to supporting safety and compliance professionals within the social housing and facilities management sector.
The two-day event, taking place on the 20th and 21st of May and hosted at the prestigious Celtic Manor in Newport, will incorporate the AGSM National Conference and AESM LIVE, with over 600 attendees expected to walk through the doors. The event will also host the annual ASCP Safety and Compliance Awards. Rewarding individuals & organisations who go the extra mile, finalists will attend a gala awards evening on the 20th May.
Bringing together 65 key suppliers in the exhibition hall across the two days and a host of safety and compliance professionals, this year’s line-up of expert speakers is set to include a whole host of inspiring talks – with over 20 experts confirmed.
Heading up the event is keynote speaker Jon Butterworth MBE, Chief Operating Officer at National Grid Plc. Within his talk ‘Energy’s Role in The Carbon Revolution’ Jon will bring to life the challenges faced by Great Britain to keep the lights on to 62 million people, yet manage the demands of a Global Rebellion against any form of carbon.
Joining Jon is inspirational speaker Terry Waite, with his talk entitled ‘Surviving the Impossible’. Spending a staggering 1,760 days in captivity, Terry’s spirited story of hardship and humour is set to be a key highlight of the conference and exhibition.

As well as keynote speakers, attendees will gain invaluable access to thought provoking technical insights from some of the leading voices across the various sectors – including Mark Coles, Head of Technical Regulations at IET, Professor Roger Willey, Managing Director at ACS Risk and Mark Duffy, Technical Safety Manager at CORGI Technical Services.
