AKW extends Onyx range for more inclusive style

AKW, one of the UK’s leading providers of accessibility solutions, has extended its beautifully styled Onyx wet room and shower range to include a new ergonomic wash basin and matte black fixed and deflector shower screens. The Onyx range has been designed to offer OT’s, retirement home developers, installers and end users a seamlessly integrated bathroom solution for the ultimate in beautiful, inclusive living.

The new Onyx ergonomic wash basin has been designed with style and mobility in mind; with a curved, concave front for closer access for wheelchair users and oval shaped hand grip holes in the sides for maximum user support. Designed with strength in mind, this stylish basin has a weight load of 150kg and comes with a lifetime warranty.

The new Onyx aluminium framed, matte black fixed and deflector shower screens have been included in the range due to the trend for this profile finish in contemporary bathroom design. The screens are 1900mm high and available in 800mm, 900mm and 1000mm widths. The width of the 180° pivoting deflector panel is 400mm.

The Onyx range also includes stylish shower seats, as well as a high slip resistant, contemporary shower tray, both in a range of colourways and with an impressive 200kg maximum weight load. In addition, the Onyx range includes black, chrome, duo black and duo white grab rails, that can support up to 150kg and an extensive range of minimalist designed chrome, black and white colour option Onyx accessories.
